Aquaponics is the is the symbiotic cultivation of plants and aquatic animals in a recirculating environment.

Here's our current system at Kalani Oceanside Retreat on the big island of hawaii where we're raising Tilapia and all types of edible greens and herbs.

We are experimenting to see if this is a viable way to sustainably grow greens for our kitchen that serves between 50 and 100 staff and up to 120 guests at any given meal.

Our first experiment consisting of a 150 gallon tank and 160 sq feet of growing area showed promising results so we've added a 700 gallon tank and increased growing area up to 480 square feet
